- Get rid of the negative influences in your life
Get rid of the people that don’t care about you, the toxic people that are never satisfied with anything that you do. This kind of people are eating away your self-confidence and your happiness. They are not worthy of your time because the people that love and appreciate you will make you feel special. Remember: you are beautiful, unique and amazing, so don’t waste your time with people that can’t see the beauty in you.
- Make time for the things you like and want to do
Just because the people around you do a specific thing, it doesn’t mean you have to do it too. Don’t do things out of obligation. When you are doing something always ask yourself if that is something you really want to do. If the answer is NO, then stop and start doing something else, something that brings you joy and happiness.
- Get out of your comfort zone
It may be hard at the beginning, but soon you’ll see that the things you are scared to do the most, are the things you’ll regret the least. Do you want to take yoga lessons, do you want to travel the world by yourself, do you want to dance in the rain? Just do it and don’t think about what other people may think.
- Stay active
Staying active doesn’t mean you have to spend hours working at the gym. It could be as simple as: going for a walk, cleaning around the house, taking a ride with the bike. Activity is whatever you want it to be, but it’s important to give your body a little work out every now and then.

Take a few minutes only for yourself once a day. Just breathe, relax and bring all your emotions together. Meditation can make a difference in how you feel about yourself and about the world around you, it helps you to clarify and organized any mixed feelings you may have. It’s also important to compliment yourself. It may sound silly, but it works. If you don’t feel like doing it, there is a quote that is suitable for this situation: “fake it till you make it!”.
Loving yourself can be hard because nobody knows your flaws and your mistakes better than you do, but remember to be patient with yourself, to think about the good things that you accomplished.
